Following links...

When I click on a link on here it takes me to the page instead of opening a new window or tab. This doesn't happen on other boards or sites that I go to. Do I have something set wrong on here or does it work that way for everyone?

You know, that is a very good question, V! I wonder if there's some kind of setting we can fix on the board, Rachel? It's annoying...I guess we have to right click and 'open in new window' but sometimes I forget...

I personally think it's annoying when things open in new windows, but I guess that's just me. I like to decide if I want it to open in a new window.

I did look though, and I don't see anywhere to change it. I will look on the forum for the board software and see what I can find.

I found a modification to do this. I'll try to work on it tomorrow after I update the board software.

Oooooohhhhhhh...it never occurred to me to do the right click thing either - duh!

Ha ha, guess it's hard to make everyone happy all of the time...but yeah. In this case, it's a pita to have the new link open in this window, cuz if you are cruising around the new site, and want to get back to MM you have to go back to the beginning again. It's just handier to have the link open in it's own new window, or in my case, I'm on Windows Vista, it opens in a new 'tab'...

I just hold down the shift key and I guess since I'm so used to doing that, when I don't do it, it's because I'm done with the site I'm currently on, and then the link opens in a new tab/window anyway.
