Marooon 5 College Tour: Peoria Civic Center, Nov. 18, 2009

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back on here to share my concert experience.

I went to the Peoria, Illinois concert at the Peoria Civic Center on Wednesday, Nov. 18th,

Let me first say I thought I wouldn't be able to get any good shots where I was sitting, but I was so wrong...I got a lot of nice shots; and yes, even though many of them are of Adam, I was able to get a bunch of James and Matt. One of the girls that I got to meet at the concert also let me have a few to add to my collection..

When we got there to pick up the tickets, the guy at the box office kept saying that the SIN tickets hadn't arrived yet. I told him to look under the last name...I don't know if he was looking in the wrong place or just in a hurry because he went to the cabinet and claimed he didn't see them. That's when the lady in charge of the box office took over and found them in the same spot he claimed to have looked :rolleyes

After getting the tickets I just walked around a bit and found myself by the tour buses. Nobody was really outside since it was raining off and on that day, but the buses were just parked right on the street like any other bus that was coming to a venue (I guess I was thinking the buses would be parked in the parking lot and gated afterwards.

It wasn't until about 5:35 that I went outside by the tour buses again and saw Chad and Shawn hopping off one of the buses to help load stuff on one of the other buses. Chad was the first to see me and come over to say hi. He has a nice smile (I must admit, he's a cutie). He was talking about the next venue, which was Texas. He said he was hoping for some good weather down there. Shawn came over quickly and gave me a hug and asked how I was and then told me he had to run some food to Matt who was still under the weather. When he did return we talked abit more and he gushed about how Penelope (I call her Princess Penelope) was getting close to five teeth. I got to meet Missy and John, two of the roadies that were outside taking a smoke; Shawn introduced us and then they were kind enough to take pictures for me of Shawn, Chad and I. I gave Shawn the stuff I had for them and told him I'd hope to talk to him a bit more on email or online.

I will say that Fitz and the Tantrums were pretty awesome. I was given their music a few weeks before the concert to get a feel for them; and I must say I like the dynamics of their music. When their set was over, I got the chance to take a picture with Fitz and tell him that their music was pretty cool. When I got back to my seat, I instantly noticed a bunch of frat college boys dressed in leather jackets and white t=-shirts trying so hard to look like Adam....I started laughing because I remember at one of my other concerts a group of guys were dressed like Adam in shirts and ties..

I really enjoyed the concert....The guys did a good job...I did like that they did a slower version of WUC and also did the Alicia Keys cover If I Ain't Got You.... I think Last Chance is going to grow on me once it is released...I will admit that it definitely had that pop feel to it as Makes Me Wonder, but then again, can't really base what I'm thinking the album will be based off the listening to the first song. I did like that they sang Through with You, that is my one favorite song from SAJ.

Set List (thanks to Virginia who posted it on her FB) :)
